Top Ten Villains

Love them or hate them, villains bring out the best in our heroes and make the story the more interesting and intriguing. Even though we all want to see the good guy win in the end, everyone loves rooting for the bad guy.Here is my list of some of the best villains.

Bowser No. 10

The bag guy in the Mario series. Mario was the most popular video game for a time and I believe the bag guy of the series played a huge part in it.

Sylar NO 9


This is a super-powered hero that kills other super heroes and steals their abilities in the "Heroes Series".Now this is a bad guy after my heart. What makes the "Sylar" character so cool or rather bad is that he is so human and touching in his evil ways yet so unstable.He is so bad, he killed his own mother!!!! If you were having any doubts, am sure they have been erased by now.




JAWS NO. 8



No talk,No implied or imagined threats . Character building is a no no. All the guy wants to do is eat YOU.Period! The film made The Great White Shark the ultimate bad guy.The movie had scenes that sent chills up many a movie-goers spine when it was released. Jaws is horror movie classic and so is its antagonist.









AGENT SMITH NO 7


Love the Matrix, don't you? Boy! That was a movie! Well, anyone who has seen the matrix would definitely love Agent Smith. He has everything you would want in your bag guy he is very nasty, he hates humanity and later on machines. He was a perfect nemesis for neo in fact his exact opposite.








Voldemort No 6

So Evil that one should never mention his name. Harry Porters dark nemesis in the series, Voldemort is the archenemy of Harry Potter, who according to a prophecy has the power to defeat him. He is described as "the most powerful Dark wizard who has ever lived", and aims to conquer not just the Wizarding world, but the Muggle (non-magical) world as well. He is so feared, that almost no one uses his real name referring to him, instead, by saying "You-Know-Who" or "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named."










Freddy Krueger No 5

No Villain List is complete without Freddy. Created by Wes Craven and portrayed by actor Robert Englund in every film of the series, he is an undead comedic serial killer, who can attack his victims from within their own dreams. What kind of guy kills children?

(Colonel) Hans Landa

I am awestruck by the performance of Christopher Waltz in The . I was simply incredible and was not surprised by the numberous accolades that followed . Most notable is the Oscar award for best supporting actor. The complex and realistic villainous nature of Hans Landa makes him stand out amongst fellow bad guys.
Quentin Tarantino has said that Landa might be the greatest character he's ever written and he isn't far from the truth

The Joker No 3

The archenemy of the superhero Batman, and one of the most iconic supervillains, the Joker is portrayed as a master criminal whose characterization has varied from a violent sociopath who kills people and commits crimes for his own amusement, to a goofy trickster-thief.
Lots of people went to watch heath ledger's potrayal of the batman greatest nemesis and they were not disappointed.But this spot goes out to the Joker in the Batman Comics. You know, the one that killed the 2nd Robin, Jason Todd, Sarah Essen and Crippled Batgirl.







Hannibal Lector No. 2


Just the name sends shivers up movie-goer's spines. Few performances if any captured what Anthony Hopkins delivered in the classic "Silence of the Lambs" as Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lector. There is no other villain who comes close to this, because he is the complete antithesis of a villain. He's ruthless, remorseless and violent all the while still having a strange calmness in his demeanor as if he believes what he is doing is right.Voted the all-time movie villain in an American Film Institute poll, Thomas Harris' epicurean madman has been played by three actors. Audiences connected with Lecter for his majesty and eclat as much as his dark sadism.

DARTH VADER NO 1


Anyone who can destroy a whole planet with billions of inhabitants, kill 10 year old youngling, certainly gets to be baddest villain ever. The original trilogy depicts the character as a fearsome cyborg and Sith Lord who serves at the right hand of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), leading the brutal Galactic Empire in oppressing the galaxy and hunting down the Rebel Alliance. The prequel trilogy depicts him as a slave boy who becomes a heroic Jedi Knight and hero of the Clone Wars. He then falls to the "dark side" of the mystical Force after Palpatine manipulates him into betraying the Jedi and destroying the Galactic Republic.
